I was curious if anyone had any idea what the new production bali's from Benchmade will be like. On their website they say they should be out this time next year. I also posted this to try and spawn discussion, of any kind, about this awesome style of knife

I don't see them talked about very often.

Thanks...Jeff

Balisongs are so special that they have their own forums:

one is on Clay's site: http://www.balisongxtreme.com/

and the other is on Palacio's site: http://www.globe.com.ph/~palacio/balisong_online.html
(I've been having intermittent troubles getting Palacio's site lately. It's hosted in the Philippines and I suspect facilities there may not be fully reliable. So, just keep trying. It is up.)

There's no discussion board, but you may also want to look at my modest site: http://www.4cs.net/~gollnick

Now, this doesn't mean we can't discuss balisongs here on bladeforums too. You can't discuss balisongs enough.

So, let's talk balisongs, shall we...

Great site Gollnick. The extreme site is really cool also. I like how you can see a bunch of different techniques, and since I am still new to the Balisong, some of the stuff will be real helpful. I couldn't get to the forum though. It wouldn't load, so I'll have to try back later. I also got a 404 error when trying to load Palacio's site, so I'll have to try it back also. I've been collecting Benchmade knives for about 1 & 1/2 years now, but didn't even realize they had produced production balisong's recently, until a few month's back. I didn't goto their website until about a year ago and all they had on it was the limited edition bali's. I came across two factory 2nd bm45's about 3 months ago and have been addicted ever since. I mean I literally catch myself day dreaming about getting home so I can play with one

I know, it's pretty pathetic! Anyway, thanks for the info.

Hey OU Sonner Fan,
The forum people are great. The Balisong group especially so.They're serious collectors.Clays ability is amazing. At one time I was very fast with a balisong. This was said to me by Kali/Arnis teachers and Guros(I'm no longer fast),but I'm not even in the same class as Clay. Some things on his sight I've never seen before.
The well made ones are objects of beauty.

Tim,

With comments like that, you're gonna give balisongs and the people who love them a good reputation. We're supposed to be the bad guy outlaws of the knife world.
