How do they stay in there? My instructor showed me his made in the phillipines balisong the other day,and whilst I will admit the maker did a good job with probably very limited tools and materials,I think I can make something much better. My question is how do those neat little stop pins, I see on the balisongs in the gallerys here, stay in there. Are they just a press fit?Slightly tapered?Or maybe soldered?I was thinking of a small allen screw but that would only match up on one side.Any hints on how you guys do it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Thanks mate, ever any hassles with loosening or wear? As they cop a bit impact with all that flipping and sometimes dropping.Similar question about screw on pivots are they less likely to loosen with a bushing in there so you can tighten them down or does a bit of loctite on the thread suffice?I was leaning toward a peened pin like the older benchmades as theres no way it can come off and send half your knife flying accross the room.
Thankyou again to all of you on blade forums for an amazing resource.
