I forged this knife from an old buggy spring that was unearthed from a rural homestead near here. I left the deep pits in the flats and stained the grind to give the knife some age. This is an unknown steel but I heat treated and tempered it using 1095 methods with good results.

Forged from a buggy spring
Flat grind with a machine finish
Dyed curly maple handle
The guard is made from wrought iron salvaged from on old wagon tire that has been acid etched to bring out the grain
Overall length: 15 inches
Blade: 9 1/4 inches
Vegetable tanned leather and rawhide sheath

$180 delivered to the US or Canada. My PayPal account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com I also accept USPS money orders and checks with time to clear.

I'm surprised this is still here. I wish I could afford this right now, but there is no knife money in the budget this time of year. Maybe in January Gerry will make another... ?
