Not especially historically correct but patterned after 17th century knives. A forced patina gives it the antique look that reenactment folks appreciate.

Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Flat grind with a machine finish
Forge texture on the flats
Iron guard
Curly maple handle
Overall length: 14 1/2 inches
Blade:9 inches
Leather sheath

$195 Includes shipping to the US or Canada. My email and PayPal account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com I also accept checks with time to clear and USPS money orders.

Gary, do you think this could also be used as a chopper/batoner? It seems like a great combination of "fighter", camp knife, batoning etc. all in one knife! What do you think?
Thanks, Andy

I hesitate to recommend this one with the hidden tang for the uses you describe . It would probably work fine but I still remember the fellow that bought one of my choppers (full tang) and tested it by chopping down a 6 inch cherry tree and cutting a 4x8 piece of plywood in half. It held up fine.
I have a similar design on my work bench right now that does have a full tang and could send you a snapshot if you are interested.

I think this could be loosely grouped in the "Rifleman's Knife" category. I like it a lot. I'd have bought it by now but I got one very much like it a few weeks ago.
