Anyone really thinks that 5-20 weight motor oil that is used in an automobile isn't enough to keep a pivoting device from working? There may be a case for CLP type products, which removes accumulated carbons, but lubes are just lubes.

Exactly what I use. Not good corrosion protection but some synthetic 20w motor oil for pivots is pretty amazing. And it's good for a high temp range.
