With Busse, satin usually comes on LE's with a couple-hundred dollar markup... somehow I think those might be the ones more likely to become safe queens.


Combat grades are cheaper, and that sure as heck makes me more likely to use them.

Yes that is very true taken as a whole....the new SE's we see which are slightly cheaper than the LE's with the numbers make a big improvement on that....personally though the CG Busse's I have which I have stripped and re-profiled are my main users and on that basis I can restore them...but unless you can remove the handles you never can easily get a "ghetto satin" to look spot on....doing a bead blast finish which is sterile though is a very viable option for being close to the shop finish if you get it right....
