I've always thought bamboo would make a good handle material but never actually tried it before. This weekend I got to see an actual knife with a bamboo handle so I decided to try it. I REALLY like this stuff!
Blade steel: 1095, 1/8" stock
Blade length: top knife is 4", bottom knife is 4 1/8"
Overall length: top knife is 8 7/8", bottom knife is 9"
Handle: bamboo with stainless pins/tube
Sheath: leather pouch type belt sheath
Price: $160, includes shipping by USPS priority insured mail ConUS
BOTH SOLD
Thanks,

Dang those are sweet looking Ray, I really like the aged finish too. May have to see about one of those down the road.

aaaahhh man.. you're killing me Ray... both look great... i love bamboo on knives and bows..:D

i actually just scored a few long slats of bamboo flooring, i don't know if it's the same stuff you used or not, but you're welcome to it, if you like..

I was thinking of bamboo flooring at first but I don't think flooring is made of bamboo all the way through. On these knives, I used a bamboo cutting board. The bamboo pieces are laminated together seamlessly to make a solid board. It's my current favorite handle material!

Can the bottom knife be had with out a sheath? If so what would the best way to go about acquiring the knife? Thanks in advance. Great looking knives you have there.

Bamboo cutting boards that are used as cutting boards are supposed to be treated with some kind of oil as the packaging instructions say. A bamboo cutting board is thin, wide and flat and there's nothing to physically keep it from splitting if it wants to split. A small piece epoxied to a knife tang is a different story.
