I recently had a discussion with a friend why I would be impossible to completely outlaw fixed blades - I mentioned kitchen knives. It seems I was proven wrong - there are indeed people out there who believe they can ban kitchen knives. what's next, banning fists?
I think various governments [including the US and the German one] might even support such a law. After all, it's not like gun-bans and the like are getting fewer and we're having less and less right, don't we ?
Let's just coat the world with nerf and then all bounce around in a circle singing 'Kum Bai Yah'.
The Brits have degenerated from the manly men who conquered much of the world into a nation of coddled, regulated, emasculated whiners.
They can pass all of the laws they want to, the UK crime rate will still continue to get more violent. The criminals will simply ignore the laws anyway - THAT is why they are called 'criminals'.
Next thing they'll want to register steel supplies and grinders. There'll be blackmarket blacksmiths.
The thing is, WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT.
I dont know about the UK or Germany, but in the USA the people rule. If the laws suck, we can change them.
We better.
Democracy is like anything else, use it or lose it.
