Banana trappers!

It seems like it wasn't that long ago, a new maker appeared here in this parts. Wasn't long and he started postin pics of his work.
He has turned into quite an assett here in Traditional imho. Nice guy, and he puts out some very nice knives
 
Those single blade bananas with the thin blades sure would be deer skinning fools. I think I need to find me one to try out. I've always liked the single blade trappers, but mine are all in the 4 1/4" size. You sure wouldn't have any trouble geting a deer in the freezer with that two blade either. Very nice!

Isn't it though -- the bone, blade grind, threaded bolsters - all great. And I like the mid-lock instead of the backlock Remington used (as you can see, several others making the locking bananas used the mid-lock too). You can also find Valley Forge bananas stamped with Wilbert Cutlery (a Sears & Roebuck brand for a while back in the 1920s IIRC). Valley Forge also made superb lockback saddlehorn patterns.
