Band saw Help/Suggestion

I currently have a Jet 14" band saw that is not big enough for the resawing I need to do. My local wood shop is having a sale on a larger band saw that has a 1.75hp motor and 12" of resaw. The new saw will be a chunk of change, or I can add the riser block to my Jet saw. I've heard good reviews about the Jet riser kit, but I'm concerned that the 1hp won't be enough for the resawing 12" burls. Does anyone have any input? Does anyone have the riser kit on their Jet, and how does it work.

I had to sell it when I closed my large shop but I had the riser in a 14" Jet that brought it to a 105" bandsaw blade and the 1HP motor did fine. The riser its easy to put in and around $100.00?

The secret is fresh sharp QUALITY blades. No bargain blades from china. USA, German or Italian
