Saw an amazing demo at J. Stout's Hammer-In last weekend. Called friction cutting. Use a regular wood-cutting bandsaw and speed it up to 3,000 fpm blade speed.
Johnny uses his old blades that will no longer cut wood and they cut through 3/16 blade stock like crazy. Even with the teeth worn off almost smooth it still cuts with the heat generated by the edge of the blade. I tried it myself and it cuts 5 or 10 times as fast as my regular slow-speed metal cutting bandsaw with a brand new bimetal blade.
Wear gloves and goggles.
