Well I thought ide cheer myself up and got taped up and swung by crappy tire . The Canadian version of any wallmart with a twist of princess auto. Bought a small band saw I know it would be 6 weeks before I could cut wood scales by hand so Tada. I go up to customer service and tell them my situation and they were awesome they did all my shopping loaded in the cart unloaded into my car and when I got home had my sons friend bring it in. So I read the manual and give it a try on the ole ladys carpet lmao ,she aint home so I can do what I want. Ill have to pay my kid to vacume or im dead lol. Is there anything I should know about its a pretty small one only cost 150 has a 1/3 hp motor so I cut a scale for a knife out of Iron wood and seemed to do very well but didnt like the end of the handle the curve was a little to tight. Enough for the next day or 2 now Im sore. kellyw

I was contemplating getting one of these, but then I decided to go with a small metal bandsaw instead. At least the metal one I can cut steel blanks out and still do some wood cutting with it. But anyways, I hope this one works for you.

If yours is like the one I got years ago- I use mine for the flat plate as a drill bit and assorted tool holder, and for the flexible light that is great for the grinder beside it in my cheap shop. Other than that it tracked badly for things like lignum, blackwood, lacewood, and the "metal cutting" blades don't cut any knifemaking type of metal.
