the Blade pictured is opox 10" wide and 36' long by
about .077 most of it seems to be .074 thick 10 pounds will give you about 53" of it.
and the shipping runs about $11.50 at 10 lb's by UPS
 
What type of steel do you think it is?

I am a beginner looking for cheap stuff. 10lbs would last me a long long time.

Would it need to be anneled my guess would be yes and sorry for my non metric up bringing would that be about 3/4"? Please send me an e-mail Dan I'd like to know a little more.

Hi Bob it's not metric, it's in U,S, thousands of an inch
a little over 1/6" of an inch to make it the easiest way to put it in layman terms.
yes it should be annealed but does not have to be if you have carbide tools to work with for like drilling, you can grind it
but it would be a lot easier to use if you do anneal.
and it will have to be re-heat treated either way to use it for blade use whereas it is treated for Band-saw use,
mainly the teeth are harder than the back, the back and body of it is tempered to be more like a spring steel, mail sent
