Bang For Your Buck Customs

Well after viewing Charles May's knives,I just had to order one, the Handi Scandi,ironwood,w/ white spacers. This will be my first Scandinavian grind knife, Charles is a real nice guy to talk to,he gave me the straight -up lowdown on his work,I can hardly wait.tgw914,in case you are interested, he says most of the time it's about 8 weeks del. time, not bad at all.

Can't go wrong with Bob Dozier. Burt Foster makes basic hunting knives for $175 including a handmade sheath. A knife forged by an ABS mastersmith for less than $200 is a great deal. Mine is due to arrive this week and I can say that Burt is just about the nicest guy I have ever dealt with. Charles May makes some really nice knives that are priced very competitively.

VCM3 that Handi Scandi is a sweet looking knife:thumbup: . Are you getting the neck or pocket sheath? I was wondering if you got the neck sheath, could you just take the lanyard off the sheath and put it in your pocket? That way you could have option of a neck or pocket carry.

Fixed, that,s exactly how I'm getting it,desert ironwood, white spacers, and a lanyard hole. Glad to see you bouncin' around in the forums,I told you you'd like it. Takin' care of my Pro Guide? Happy Holidays to you!

Have a look under the Makers section in the For Sale section.

The first few that come to mind are

Trad looking
David Winston & Gene Ingram, Beautiful workmanship and their D2 is superb. David tends to do smaller narrower blades than Gene, both are extremely talented.

Modern.
David Mosier, Nice original stuff, usually in S30V, super flexible to work with and fast delivery times considering how busy he is.

There are a lot of great makers on this site that only post in the Makers section. I suggest to go over there, read up a bit and have a look at what they offer. You can also go to the Makers Gallery and see what is also available but not advertised to buy on the site.
