Bought this last year from a Forum member who had stripped and convexed it ,but not removed the handles. I sent it to Norcalblacktail who satined it-handles off- and gave it a full height convex. While it was there, I decided I wanted to make it a clip point Bowie w/ some recurve, but Nate didn't have the machinery yet to do it. I sent it to Ban who added the clip w/ a swedge and some recurve as well as doing another full height convex. Then Ban added his frosty blade finish, smoothed and shaped the magnum handles and added orange handle liners. My aim through this whole procedure was to maintain the length and blade height of the NMFBM while creating a large knife that would both chop and slice up a storm and be lighter and easier to carry. As a result, this knife has been trimmed from .27 thickness to .22 and is significantly lighter. Not sure how much, but if you hold this and a factory one, there is quite a difference, and it is much quicker handling. Got a lot carried away and have over $1000 in this one. Never get it back, but I've had the pleasure of handling and looking at it for 6mos. and that's worth something.Never used,carried,etc... She's so fast and agile now ,it's fun just to handle her and cut air.Asking $675.00or$750 w/ sheath. Sheath not available separately-see below for sheath description.
Also available is a Chuddybear low ride dangler sheath that you can see as a featured sheath on his website. Just like new and beautiful. 2 X-straps on back for leg tiedown.
Also available is my big knife bandolier--that's what I call it anyway. Sort of a Baldric system, but more heavy duty. Almost all sheaths w/ a dangler will slide on it and you can also tie off to your leg. Has a sheath for a folder and some rings to hook compasses, etc. too. Much easier than trying to carry big knives on your belt.Puts all the weight on your shoulder. Very comfortable. It is adjustable to most bodies.Asking $90.NOTE:I like to stay incognito so my neighbor is showing the bandolier.Leg strap not included w/ sheath.
Prices include Priority shipping w/ full insurance and del confirm.. No trades please. MO or certified check is fine;If using PP please add 3.5%. No Personal tab. First "I'll take it" in this thread followed by PM or email gets it.I know this is significant money so if you need to make payments and you have good feedback,we can probably work something out. This is my last Busse. I've had a lot of fun w/ you guys. Thanks for looking. Ron Email:thehaunt1@yahoo.com NOTE:That is not the NMFBM in the sheath of the bandolier pic.
