Banning of Mr.Clay at Balisong x-treme ??

Hi ya' all!

Just wanted everyone to know that i spent the whole Sunday trying out various techniques from Mr. Clays x-ellent site, and yes, it's been some blood ;-)
BUT, my girlfriend just got back from work and asked me -what have you been doing all day?? -ehh...playing with knives and spattering blood all over the apartment! -all day !?!? -well, yes...i also been surfing the net looking at knives.

So i haven't gotten anything done today, no cleaning up of our apartment, no weight training and just nothing besides this VERY funny knifeplaying!
So, for the peace of my relationship, please ban Mr. Clay!!! from the net!!!

No, i'm just kiddin'!! actually i like to thank Mr.Clay for reminding me how fun it is and bringing me back to my true love, "playing" with my balisongs!!
I've just been flipping it once in a while and it was a long time i learned something really new, but now thanks to Mr.Clay's x-ellent kewl site i got new good things to learn!!

Again, thank you very much for bringing back the joy in my life!! ;-)
I very much hope that i someday will meet you and shake your hand and to see you perform live!

Had me worried too! I was afraid I'd missed some gawdawful bad karma, to be followed up by a gawdawful trial by Internet! Next to that, having to put on a band-aid or three seems downright benign!

Isn't it conventional wisdom to get two balisongs, and make one edgeless, and to practice the balisong dance with the dull one?

James it may be something wrong with us Bali freaks but half of the fun is playing with the live blade. I have laid off for a few months and the scars are cleared up. But it's time to start again. I like to do it when I dictate but the transcriptionists say that the click-clack drives them nuts. To be honest I think the Bali is my favorite folder no matter what the price.

Yeah, I remember when I first went to the Balisong x-treme site...My fingers hurt the rest of the day from playing around, only 1 cut in all! That site really helped me with my Balisong use.

James.. do you love somoene conditionally so you do not get hurt? and in the same way you will never learn how to balisong without the deep thrill of the possibility of getting cut.

now if you'r einto 'cutting' then theat's another stury ^_^.. all in all ignore my philosophical rambling. no it is not unconventional to get 2 balisongs.. but the reason to do it is so you can do two fisted knife slinging action babes =)

James, Heres a little peek into the heads of some of us Bali-freaks.

For some of us, the thought of working out with a blunted Bali is like...... going to a shooting range to sight in your gun, and using blanks.

You go through the motions, the sighting in, the breathing, the trigger squeeze. In theory and application you do everything right...... but when you go to check the target, theres nothing there to see how you did.

I'm not saying it's right, or even good ....... It's just how some of us see it.

Maybe I'm just jealous. If i had the money, I would have a Balisong right now, but i'm only 18 and there are other important things to worry about. Plus my parents would probably make me sell it.
