My friend's son is having his Bar Mitzvah this coming weekend. He's a cool kid that enjoys the outdoors. I had given him a Buck pocket knife last year, which created chaos at the Statue of Liberty last summer on a family trip, when he set the metal detector off. So, to create more "fond memories", I made him a forged little skinner from Aldo's 1084. I don't make many knives, so I hope you like the pics of this one. Also, a "Thanks" to all you makers that share your knowledge so freely

Nice! Congrats to your friend and his son.

For a moment I transposed "Bar Mitzvah" and "Bris" in my mind. I awkwardly debated whether I really wanted to open this thread.

There are cultures that do their equivalent of the brit at the age we bar mitzvah. I think Lior will be OK with that knife though! :) Since the bar mitzvah is a ceremony inaugurating adulthood, it is really appropriate.
