This is a forged knife from 52100 high carbon steel that has been hanging on that nail in my shop for years. Time to move it on.
Heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles producing a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Stabilized bacote handle with a touch of red dye
Distal tapered tang
Overall length: 9 inches
Blade: 4 3/4 inches
About 3/16 inch thick at the choil
Leather scabbard for a right hand carry
