In my opinion Kershaw does have a wide selection of bargain priced folders with high quality blades and top notch fit and finish however the 0300 is not exactly what I consider a bargain folder in price, materials, or craftsmanship which are all excellent it is a high end folder.
The argument can be made that in relative terms compared to certain similar custom folders the 0300 series is very much a bargain but it still is not cheap to buy.
I consider some of the Kershaw composite blades like the junk yard dog composite and others to be super bargains that are often overlooked by many. These should be tough knives with super long edge holding capabilities made to be used and used again.
Kershaw also offers other non composite blades in super steels that are nowhere to be found in the same price range as kershaw offers them.
I think the 0200 is a great knife and what I would call a borderline bargain. It's price is what I would consider the high end of the medium price line but it is quite a tank.
