Up for sale is my recently acquired Bravo Necker II. I am the only owner, and Ive only had it a few weeks. It has accompanied me in my cargo pocket on a couple hikes. I have trimmed whittled a couple branches with it, but that is all. It still has the factory edge, and has not been sharpened or stropped. It is a wonderful knife and sheath, but I find the handle a bit too small for my intended use.
The 2016 Bravo Necker is crafted of tough CPM 154 blade steel hardened at 58 60 RC, and as youd expect from Bark River, convex-ground. The blade is 0.130 thick. The blade itself is polished bare and satin-finished, increasing its cutting efficiency by 50% over similar knives coated blades according to BRKT. The knife is 7 in length overall, with a 3.5 cutting edge. The handles are green canvas micarta with a matte finish. Really nice looking handles, and grippy. It weighs in at only 2.45oz. and is made in the USA.
The sheath is really nice. It is Bark Rivers new rare earth magnetic retention sheath. The sheath offers good retention of the knife, but it is easy to extract from the sheath. So if you are going to use this as a neck knife, youll find this sheath will work well inverted, as well as for normal carry. The magnets are sewn into the leather, so wont scratch the knife. The sheath has a coating of Montana Pitch-Blend on it.
This knife has only been carried a few times, and only used on some thin branches to test out. Price for the knife, sheath, and original box is $135. I will ship this USPS Priority flat rate box included in the price, which includes tracking. PayPal only, I will eat any fees. CONUS only. No trades. First 'I'll Take It' posted in this thread gets the knife.
Thank you for looking!
