Bark River Canadians....

I received a Candian Special as a gift from the Stewarts about a month ago (middle one in the picture) and I really like it. It isn't a knife I'd have originally picked for myself, because of the finger grooves, but it is Mike Stewart's favorite bushcrafter. After using it for a month I can see why. Its tough and handy, and the finger grooves are very unobtrusive and do not inhibit a variety of grips. (That is my normal objection to finger grooves, but its not a problem with this knife).

I've got a Canadian Special, a Mini-C, and a Mikro II-C. I've not had a chance to use the Special much, but I really like both of the small ones. Great EDC knives! Of the two, I prefer the slightly larger size and greater heft of the Mini-C.

I was going to buy a lovely Canadian Camp, but Big Mike grabbed it before I could. *pouts*

I have the Micro in green canvas. Great little knife and the finger grooves work for me. I did find the finish a bit slippery and like has been said they are a bit flat(I found it box'y) so I contoured the scales more and sandblasted them for texture...made it much better.

I have found that the matte finish has more texture in Barkies; and of course canvas has more texture than linen.
