Edit (1/6/2023): Sale closed for now. Remaining knives might be reposted at a later date. Thank you, all!

Hi all,

I am making some room in my knife bins and have a number here listed for sale. I try not to make a habit of listing anything as LNIB or Mint - even if I haven't gotten around to using the knife, it has still been taken out for pictures, has been handled, and/or will exhibit storage marks and the like. That said, descriptions are included with each listed knife and I am happy to address any questions or concerns that might arise.

All prices listed include USPS shipping and insurance. Though I reserve the right to sell to whom I choose, the general rule of thumb is the first to claim here or in a PM gets it. Payment accepted via PayPal - I can be flexible on other payment methods but PayPal is the easiest at this point.

(My apologies for the hasty pics - it's storming outside, at the moment. I am dodging rain and bright sun and will update pics as I can)

Now for the knives:

Bark River Knife and Tool

Edwin Forrest Bowie

- A2 Steel
- Elk Scales w/ brass fittings and pins
- OAL: 17"
- Blade Length: 12 1/4"
- Comes with sturdy leather sheath with the optional EEP Leather Protection upgrade
- Description: Unused condition with some possible sheath marks on the blade and some dings on the leather from bin storage.
- Additional comments: For the purposes of full disclosure, this knife was a disappointment to me. Though the grind is nice and thin, is is pretty wonky, which is made all the more apparent on such a long blade. Plus, the shape of the Elk scales is likely more conducive to a left-handed user (good thing the sheath is ambidextrous....)
- Price: $300 (offering this at a steep discount)

Teddy II

- A2 Steel
- Stacked leather handle with brass nickel silver fittings
- OAL: 13 1/4"
- Blade: 8"
- Comes with sturdy leather sheath with the optional EEP Leather Protection upgrade
- Description: Has been carried and used. Leather handle shows some wear, likely from rubbing against stuff while on my belt. Some patina on the blade and the sheath shows signs of belt carry and storage.
- Additional comments: Seems like the grind exhibits more belly than it should but I never found it to be too problematic on this knife. Good sturdy belt knife from what I have experienced so far.
- Price: $250

Having handled both, which do you honestly prefer (Erickson or Mont)?

Both makers are a delight to work with and I would enthusiastically recommend either to folks.

That said, when it comes down to it, I think Erickson has a bit more polish and refinement and he seemingly makes his knives for folks with bigger hands (which I appreciate). Tony embraces a more rustic approach and though his handles are shaped very comfortably, they are on the smaller side (for me).

It's hard for me to say, to be frank. Their grinds are both stellar and I enjoy working with both, plus it's also fun to support a maker from Greece (Tony). It think it really comes down to hand size and style choice and though I love Tony's Bowies and Fighters, Robert has a wider breadth of designs and materials that he works with so I'd probably lean towards Erickson.
