Bark River Folder

Looks like i'll be waiting on the izula folder then.

yup, same here. I don't have the scratch to carry a $400 pocket knife, which has the potential to be lost. Yes, I carry a $500 pistol, but I am much less apt to lose that.

Hell, I carry a 2400 dollar pistol and I still won't carry a 400 dollar folder. Fixed blade? I'll spend 500 dollars on, folder? Nope.

I sold my strider because frankly it sucked. I borrowed a sebenza from a buddy of mine for a week, it was nice, but not 400 dollars nice. Ill stick to my ZT folders, best bang for my buck.

I might have to make this my first Barkie. Looks like there's enough real estate left on the thumb ramp to cut a tiny wave hook. Hopefully it's tip up.

the BRKT folder is a folding Gunny, read it on knife forums, size is the one of the gunny
steel should be A2 afaik

Interesting.

As much as I love the Bravo line (B1 was my first "good" knife and is still one of my favorites, and the Gunny is excellent as well), this folder isn't really grabbing me for some reason. It might be because I prefer a pointier or more dropped tip on my smaller knives and folders. Maybe it'll grab me more when I see it with other handle materials:
Mike said that these will have the full range of handle materials! I can't wait.

Anyone know the possible blade length and thickness?

I hope they make a left handed one. i will compromise with a right handed knife for 200.00 or under but for 400.00 they better make a left handed model.

Is that thumbstud going to sit in the cutout for easier access? If not...needs a flipper!! :D

Looks great! The folks at BRKT consistently crank out superb products, and I'm sure this will be no exception.

How about you try something for yourself before blindly bashing? Kthxbye.

There is nothing blind about it. Poor quality and customer service are well documented, as well as outright fraud and federal lawsuits. How is it "blind bashing" when he linked to a source?

What ever happened to this folder? Did it come to market? I don't see them on their site so I'm guessing they are no longer making them if they ever did.

AFAIK, it's still in the works. Mike gets asked about it every so often, and that's his answer. The dealers are keeping him busy making other knives, but he still wants to get to it.

I hope they make this knife, because I'd like to get the Sebbie, but it has a hollow-grind; and it doesn't seem to be useful for anyting else than for fighting. A convex "Sebenza-esque" folder is the ultimate in my world, because then I can do pretty much everything with it.
