Here's one I bet you haven't seen in a while. Bark River Forrester, the single edge version.
Actual dimensions:
OAL - 16"
Blade length - 10"
Thickness - 0.307"@ the ricasso, 0.260" in the middle of the blade
Weight - 25 oz.
Sorry, it's not in the original box and the one it is in isn't in great shape, but the knife is. Sheath is in excellent condition except that the original owner removed the retaining strap and replaced it with a velcro strap.
He also said he gave it a short chopping trial, as did I, but there isn't a scratch or mark on the blade and it's sharp.
It's been so long since I acquired it that I don't remember many of the details of it's construction. The matte flats appear to show forging construction, but I don't remember BR doing any forging. I thought the steel was 5160, but I've read where it is probably Bohler N685. If you're the collector that NEEDS this in your collection, you probably know all the details. You also know that Bark River can supply a new box.
$300.00 (firm) shipped, PayPal G&S only, USA lower 48 only.
There's more to come. Getting old and starting to let go of many Bark Rivers.
