Found it. I will say it looks pretty sweet, and a larger version of the original cannot be a bad thing. I might end up picking one up to check it out. Thanks for the heads up.
The whole knife is scaled up. I don't find the handle to be too long or short for the blade length and appreciate the extra length for bigger jobs.
I think the FR2 works great for me but I was a big fan of the Fox River too so the blade/handle shape is familiar to my hand. I suppose it could be too big for some jobs but the knife's ability to handle jobs of all sizes will vary with familiarity.
Would I use it to pick out a splinter? Sure, if it was what I had on me at the time.
It's not a lot larger. Here is a side by side and top view. I don't have huge hands and find both to be just fine. Not to big or to small. If I had large hands I might find the regular fox river a little to small.
The fox river II is a brand new model as of this summer, you might not be getting much or a response because there aren't that many people with those knives yet.
I had one beautiful mini Fox River. It was too tiny for my hands, and I gave it to my grand-daughter. She loves it.
It was sort of a work of art...along with being useful.
