Just got my Gunny Hunter in. All I can say is "wow." This is one hell of a knife. Extremely sharp out of the box. I'm looking forward to putting it through the paces. Here's a pic with my Bravo EDC.
The gunny remains at the top of the BRK best sellers. It's a great size for most tasks and it comes in a variety of steels and a huge variety of handle materials. My next Bark River will probably be a Gunny or a Bravo 1.
The Gunny all day long. It just feels more comfortable to me. That's really my only complaint about the Bravo EDC- I wish the blade was "deeper" and the handle a bit more hand filling.
Mmmkay. I was looking at the bravo EDC and that was my fear, that the handle was a bit narrow, but I do like the blade on it. I find a narrow blade makes it easier to cut around stuff. Peeling an orange for example. Sweet blades in any case. I'm sure they'll give you many years of enjoyment.
For reference... L to R- Esee Izula II, L.T. Wright Patriot, Bravo EDC and Gunny Hunter.
If the Patriot were the same length as the Izula, it would be the perfect work knife for me. I've been tempted to Contact LT to see if he would do a custom. However, I'm a bit scared of what it would cost. lol!
