Bark River Hudson Bay vs CS trailo master vs Spyderco Forester

What is the best knife at chopping?

Thanks

Nope. Sorry, I own one. A Fallkniven Tor smokes it. And a S. Sibert Particle Accelerator is like comparing an axe to a chain saw.

Nope. It's a pimped out VW spring, the one under the horn button. You heat it up, hammer it flat, and elmer glue a leather handle on it. Where you been?

From what I hear and the pics I have seen, the FK Tor seems to be properly named.

Check out how flat the stump is here in these pics of Mikael's from the Fallkniven forum at KF, only attests to its bite!

LOL, sorry bro i should of known.
Listen between me and you i hear....and is got too be true cause i read it on the tinternet, i hear if your fold enough tin foil over (the sort you wrap your turkey in), heat it with a bic mini and hammer it flat with a dead bass, it makes outstanding blade steel. Happy new year bro :)

Brutha, you are correct about the tinfoil. And not only is it Newyear, but my birthday. You owe me a tinfoil knife.

That Fallkniven Tor is so pretty. If only I could think up an excuse for owning a big knife.

The Fallkniven in the pics is the TOR's little brother..the ODIN. The TOR is BIGGER! I own one. ITs blade is 10" of Sanmai goodness, and is one serious bowie.
And Bushcraft, having owned or still owning all three that you are interested in, I would say the Cold Steel is the best By a large margin...if you could get a CS in sanmai (with a full convex edge) than the margin would get even larger.
I have 2 CS trailmasters..one in CARBON-V and one Stainless (convex), I like the convex a bit more for chopping, but I dont trust it near as much as the carbon V model. They are some of the best bowies available..IMO. I do love the TOR's handle, something about leather that just feels better though.
The ODIN is on my list of "must own's".
I rank them as follows
#1 Cold Steel Trailmaster
#2 BarkRiver Hudson Bay
#3 Spyderco. I wouldnt recommend this knife, I would say just get a Kukri, if you want a recurve.

^^Couldn't have said it better muh' self.

As for the other comments on Battle Mistress and Tor. Battle mistress does chop better if you have the arm to work it all day and the back to carry it everywhere you need to go. The NMFBM weighs nearly a full pound more than a Trail Master.

The Tor is extremely similar to the San Mai Trail Master. 1/2" longer and a bit thinner tip. It does cost a bit more but the ox hide handle is very nice.

I know the above weren't in your original list but Gunknifenut covered those and the others were mentioned so. Just my 2 cents.
