I bought this a few years ago and brought it on a few camping trips and hikes. Used but not abused at all.
The scales started to come away from the tang since it was made before they switched to very secure corby bolts.
I sent it back for a scale replacement using corbys and ironwood burl.
It came out great but for some hairline cracks at the pins. I filled and sealed them right away since I knew they were only cosmetic. They haven't moved at all since, but bark river will replace the scales for free in the future if you wish.
The kydex sheath has perfect retention. I had Kiah from BF custom make it when he was still taking orders. He did a great job. I no longer have the leather sheath or box.
