Hello all,
I was just wondering if there where any places that sell Bark River Knives in NJ? I want to buy a couple of them, but would like to hold them first as I have big hands and I have heard that some of these knives have smaller handles. I have checked the offical BRKT website, but the closest location is 6 hours north, and I am not that crazy. I am interested in the gameskeeper and northstar or Fox river as general use hiking/camping knives. BTW, I live in Central NJ. Does anyone know of any places where I would be able to inspect these knives?

Thank you in advance,
Mike

Hey, I use to live in Jersey for 10 years up north in sussex county, now I am in PA...Anyway there is a Knife shop in Port Jervis,NY right over the jersey border... JT knives, the guy has a website...jtknives.com, but that might be too far for you? Sorry thats the only one I knew of it was close enough to visit and save myself on shipping...

Thank you for the help. Unfortunitly, JT knives is too far away from me (2 hours each way). I will check out that other website. If anyone knows of any other places, please let me know. Once again thank you

Mike

Mike, welcome to Bladeforums!

A couple of years ago, a few of us started the NJKCA -- New Jersey Knife Collectors Association. We meet on the third Sunday of every month, and this month's meeting was last Sunday, with over 30 people there. The place was jammed. We meet at Tarantella's Restaurant in Clark.

A few months ago, someone asked about Barkies and someone else asked about Daltons and one thing led to another -- the next meeting we brought more Bark River knives than Mike Stewart remembers making! :D

If you can make it to a meeting, let us know ahead of time & we'll bring whatever you'd like to see. You can get in touch with me at my email in my profile or click on the link in my signature and go to the Bark River discussion there.
