2) Northstar Companion in Desert Ironwood (not burl). A2 steel. Has seen light use and etch is polished out. At some point I sanded the blade on this knife with a full progression of Micro Mesh pads, and there are sanding marks visible which can't be seen in the pics due to the glare (and my poor photography skills). This knife will come to you sharp.
In addition to the exceptionally nice ironwood on this one, there are a few other things that are different:
*I prefer the cleaner profile without a lanyard loop, so Jason at DLT very kindly had it ground off at BRKT before sending it my way.
*I smoothed out just a bit the firesteel notches in the spine to make for a more comfortable resting spot for the thumb.
*I swapped out the original Bushcrafter sheath for a Tusk sheath---it fits like a glove and makes for a smaller and sleeker carry package.
Includes (Tusk) sheath and original box.
