For Sale: New / Unused Bark River Knives Prototype Parang with a vibrant Turquoise Canvas Micarta handle. Comes with a Bark River Sheath - fits perfectly. The steel on this knife is 5160. When acid etching the 'prototype' logo the application left a stain below the stamp - the knife can be sent back to Bark River and they will re-polish and re-etch the logo for free - but the 5160 will patina quickly with use. very beautiful beasts but I thought the big ones from bark river are 5160 steel unless marked otherwise.
