Very cool. I love the handle on that, looks super comfy. Have you used it for any heavy slicing? I'm going to order the MFR next week. The design just really grew on me.

The MFR looks awesome!
I have not handled it,but it looks like a very good choice for a small fixed blade.

I have used the Lil' C for heavy slicing in dry applewood.

The handleprofile is very slim near the ricasso,so I use an open grip with straight indexfinger and thumb, to get max force into the cut.
The longfinger controls the knife together with the ringfinger.

In this way I get a comfortable grip also when applying force into the cut.

When testing the edge I use the above showed fiberboard to determine how good the knife holds an edge.
Fiberboard is a terror to any edge, but a very common material in todays Carpenting buisness.
If the edge cope with fiberboard without micro chipping, it's refined enough and ready for service.

The above Li'l C passed the test easilyy compared to a cheap Hultafors HVK.
Both had convexed and tuned edges.
It's on par with my Huntsman and Fällkniven 3G steel TK1,2 and TK3 models.
The lam. Mora's at RC 61 are also in this region of very good knives for woodcutting.

That is beautiful. One of the things I love about bark river is they marry beauty with function. Awesome example!

Derrick, I'm hoping for the BR Scandi, wich ought to be a great knife judging from the specs.

Thanks much Mikael. I've been looking for something like that for a while now. You convinced me and I appreciate the pictures too.

Those smaller 3V knives are powerhouses, it's hard to go wrong with them!:)

They make nice blades and Bravo 1 is great.
You can send it back to them to (add swedge, make drop or spear point, remove ramp, make full height convex grind) all for $15
Awesome if you ask me.

What was all done to the bottom knife? I like the traction ribs and the tip. Let me know. I have a Bravo 1 that has some rolling on the blade..since it is going back I will have them add those modification you have on the bottom knife. Oh and what do that call the lanyard loop you added to the top one?

You guys are totally killing me. So many handle materials to choose from, this is not gonna be easy, but it will be fun. :D
