Bark River Knives

I just ordered a Bark River Knives "Northstar" from KNIFEWORKS. I got the one with the blaze orange handles because I figured if I dropped it in the bushes it would not be hard to find.

Has anyone here owned a Bark River Knife and if so could you comment on their quality?

Has anyone ever bought from KNIFEWORKS before and what kind of service did you receive from them?

Normally I just stick with Bob Doziers knives, Busses, Fehrmans, and Tridents so this is a little side trail for me into unknow territory.
Any help and comments will be aprecialted.

No worries, both BRKT and Knifeworks are awsome. My NorthStar is now my new backpacking fixed blade. Mike over at BRKT does an awsome job with the heat treat as well as putting a wicked full height convex edge on the knives. My Northstar is my favorite knife I own (that is until I get a Fox River) =).

If you mean knifeworks.com (formerly Bayou Laforge knifeworks) then I have had very good service from them. They aren't the first to get new items but if they have what you want in stock you will get it quickly.
 
Since you're asking about a dealer this will have to go to TGB&U. You could start a new thread in Blade Discussion to ask about the knives.

Bark River makes a great blade, and Mike Stewart not only does a good job with the product, but he's also really personable and maintains good coms.

You may want to take a look at www.jerzeedevil.com - he hangs out there a lot and also has a forum on www.knifeforums.com as well - lots of BRKT owners out there who are really happy with the product.
