bark river micro canadian

I've decided on the mini for now, I can get a micro later. There are so many models to chose from! The edk looks nice but it seems like you are limited to a neck sheath. That might be my third.

personally, I like the Mini more than the Mikro! Great choice. The only difference is the extended choil on the Mini.

Here's an in-hand shot of a Micro and and Mini, which, imho, are both great little knives.

nice pic there ford!

the mikro is just PERFECT for me. It's enough to do the hard little tasks but small enough for slacks.

I'm looking for a trickle now...:)

Welp, I got the mini. OMG IT'S AWESOME!! It seems like a small blade but will be very useful. I used it in the kitchen tonight, it went through vegies like an atom splitter! I cut my meat with it, I will earn my patina the honest way!!

I have perused the bark river models and there are several that seem very useful to me. My next purchase may be an aurora, canadian special, or north star. Definatly a bird and trout, it's the same blade as the paring knife but having a sheath will make it more portable.

I might have to sell a gun or two if I cannot control my impulses. In addition to knife styles there are all the handle colors and materials to contend with. I got my mini in red linen micarta which is beautiful to me. I like the green linen as well. I definatly prefer solid or mosaic pins to the other choices.

Welcome to the Bark Side!

Because of legal restrictions where I work, I EDC a Mikro. For such a small blade, it's amazing what all it can do! I now have five of them! :D

Hope you enjoy yours!

dude,

I jsut got my first Mikro canadian. It's an amazing little knife. It fits perfectly in the pocket or on the belt. I've ordered a pocket sheath for mine that also holds a folder of my choice.

Good luck!!!!!

Brett,

I looked at knivesshipfree and can only find pocket sheaths that hold a small FB and firesteel. Which one holds the FB and folder? If I can find something that holds my Mini Canadian and a small SAK, then I'm all done looking for edc stuff (yeah, right).

It is called the Adirondak Pocket sheath. I have one that I keep a small Barkie and a Fenix light.

I have a micro something or other and was completely underwhelmed---now sits in my knife reject drawer----I would suggest you look at a Mini or bigger---Bark River's are great knives---but the micro's are a joke.

I wonder if we should start a "post a picture of your knife reject drawer"

I bet some of us would be surprised by what sits in other people's reject drawer.
