I have two knives for sale both are New in Box and will be shipped USPS Priority Mail with tracking number. The first I'll Take it followed by a email to zerotolerance.5555@gmail.com gets the knife.

Phil Wilson was bitten by the knifemaking bug in 1985. While filleting cod, he discovered first-hand he preferred a finger-guard segregating the blade from the handle to stop the hand from sliding forward onto the cutting edge. His fishing knives feature long flexible blades using superior edge-holding steels. His Southfork's finger-guard positions the index finger and remaining three fingers on the handle ready for extended use and ergonomic control. Upswept tip and full-flat blade offer just the right amount of belly for field dressing, cleaning and nearly any and all outdoor chores.

The Mountain Man knife is a model that Bark River has made before. Bark River Knives originally made them in 1095 and then again in A-2. This batch should out perform the older models by a very wide margin. Bark River Knives has used CPM-3V an a very thin cross section... just like the original thickness of the knife when is was the favorite belt knife of the American Mountain Man. This pattern is the most common carried in that period of our history. Most were made by the Russell Company and were branded "Green River". These were the knives of all the Mountain Man Lore.

You will find them to be as handy and effective as they were back then. They are perfect for both field and kitchen use. Coupled with the traditional pattern and the CPM-3V Super Steel, these cut like lasers.

Includes a high-quality leather belt sheath.

About CPM 3V Steel

CPM 3V is a high toughness, wear-resistant tool steel made by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process. The CPM process produces very homogeneous, high quality steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability and toughness compared to other steels produced by conventional processes. CPM 3V was designed to provide maximum resistance to breakage and chipping in a high wear-resistance steel. This "super steel" offers impact resistance greater than A2, D2, Cru-Wear, or CPM M4, approaching the levels provided by S7 and other shock resistant grades. CPM 3V is intended to be used at 58/60 HRC in applications where chronic breakage and chipping are encountered in other tool steels, but where the wear properties of a high alloy steel are required. The wear and toughness properties of CPM 3V make it an excellent alternative to shock-resistant steels such as S7 or A9, where they typically wear out too quickly, but where grades such as A2, CruWear, or CPM M4 tend to fail by breaking or chipping. CPM 3V offers the highest impact toughness of any tool steel with this range of wear resistance.

While not considered a true stainless steel, CPM3V is considered by some to be a "semi" stainless steel and does exhibit some stainless steel qualities while costing less than a true high-grade stainless steel.
