I'm looking at the Fox River, Highland or North Star.....I can't decide.

Which ever I choose I want a Leather Sheath with the Fire steel loop on it. Do they always come with theses. Some web sites show the knife but not the sheath.

My Fox River & North Star sheaths came with the firesteel loops. The sheath for my Highland didn't.

Edited to add......I just checked the DLT Trading website & they show the Highland Special sheath WITH the firesteel loop.
I've had mine for awhile & I guess they changed sheaths since I got mine.

All three of those knives come standard with a leather sheath with a firesteel loop -

unless you get a very old Highland, which might not have it. If that happens, give BRKT a call, and they'll ship one out to you.

No worries!

Here's the sheath that came with my Highland.
I trimmed an inch or so off the top so more of the handle would be exposed. It sat pretty deep in there as it was:

Must be an older one. The leather is thicker than the North Star & Fox River sheaths.

"All three are standard with"...That's what I wanted to hear.

Cliff "has all three" and I'm trying to decide which 'one'....Maybe I should just decide which one 'first.'

Who's got the best prices?

I'm getting one this weekend, just don't know where.

Check out DLT Trading or Knivesshipfree.com.
Both have an excellent selection of Bark Rivers & both have outstanding service.
Prices are nearly the same. It kinda depends on the handle material you want.

Of the 3 that you're interested in,I would start with the Fox River.
It's a real stout "Do it all" blade.

After that you'll be back for more!

Best prices are almost certainly at KnifeSupply, as Ulgah posted.....

Best selection will be at DLTTradingCompany followed closely by KnivesShipFree.

Best compromise between selection and pricing is undoubtedly (in my opinion) at KnivesSHipFree.

Anyone know if you can get them with left-handed sheaths for the standard price?

Most all the Bark River knives are shipped with brown right hand sheaths, but black and left hand sheaths are available on an exchange bases.

Some of the dealers might be able to take care of the exchange before they ship the knife.

I think the Highland has the best thickness for a general bush knife in that size.

don't forget to check with knifesupply before you buy, they may not have what you want in stock and then you might have to wait till the next run.
dlt and knivesshipfree have in stock what they show.
