Bark River SS Bravo1

Terrific review. Love the pics.

I have found the CPM154 to hold an edge better than the A2 and not much more difficult to sharpen. The fine grain steel is great stuff!

I knew the gunny wouldnt be out by xmass to much to hope for that.
Have they decided on the type of sheath yet?.

The Gunny is scheduled to start laser cutting in the next week or two.

No definitive answers on the sheath, but Sharpshooter hints at having something special up his sleeve.

Just a short follow-up. After sitting in its sheath for two days dirty, I washed the Bravo-1 SS with the dishes. Only a few traces of stains remained. Those polished out with a Miracle cloth. So to answer questions about corrosion and stain resistance, I'd say pretty good. Not a salt water immersion test, but a good indicator. I thought it cleaned up nicely.

Excellent review HornDog. Mike Stewart mentioned that the SS B-1 where heavier as more material was left under the tang. I purchased the G-10 that and the extra steel on the SS B1 can be felt. I purchased a second SSB1 Micarta, I'll post the impressions when it arrives.

Excellent Review H.D. thanks! Getting a good look at this knife in comparison with some of the others I like the looks of it a lot. It had my interest to start with but those are the best pics I've seen of this knife so far and it is now definitely on my list of knives to get.
