Bark River STS 5 - Thoughts?

thats good to hear..yea i've seen quite a few good reviews bout 154cm...i only have one knife in 154cm, the blackjack neck knife and it never really sees any hard use, cause its a neck knife i guess lol so never really got to see how the steel is to use

I think 154cm is an outstanding steel. Good stain resistance is its best quality but it holds an edge very well and is not too hard to sharpen. There are trade offs with all steels and any trade offs made with 154cm at worth it IMO...especially since its a lesser expensive material these days.

Man, that IS a super sexy piece! If I hadn't been going FB crazy lately I might consider one. I picked up a Dendritic Steel Boye Basic 3 a week or so ago and I couldn't be happier with it.

never heard of the Dendritic Steel Boye Basic 3..just looked it up and looks like a very interesting piece (looks great too!)
and the only knife maker i've ever seen that offers the blade with a rounded tip..thought that was pretty interesting, they called it a 'safety' knife.
