Anybody own one of these? I'm curious as to how they stack up as a bushcraft knife. Also, what exactly does T.U.S.K. stand for? Thanks for any help, guys.

I own one. Wharncliff blades are the ultimate utility blade. They'll do for bushcraft, but the location of the tip isn't ideal. The Tusk is one of my favorite BRKT designs. Simply fantastic! If you're looking for an EDC, this is it.

I give it a B- on the bushcraft scale though. With their aurora being an A.

TUSK - Totally Useful Special Knife.

Not the best for bushcraft (though it'll work), but awesome as an EDC utility knife. One of my favorites!

:pTactical urban shroom knife??

I dont know what it stands for, but I like it. It might just be my next barkie!

I have one, its my most addictive knife. Cant put it down.
As a bushcraft, it will have to be paird with another bigger knife, maybe auruora :)

It's listed in their Bushcraft series on their website, so I figured it must be intended for that reason.

Certainly for notching, slicing, skinning, sharpening sticks, etc it would be great. But batonning, and drilling suffer considerably.

I have used both. The LIL Tusk, I didnt particularly care for. Not that anything was wrong with it, just personal taste. I have 2 Tusk's though and they are both great. I never carry any other fixed blade when I go backpacking. Its done everything I needed it to do, from food prep, preparing kindling, knotching tent pegs, cutting cord, stripping cedar bark, and Im confident that I would do just fine in a situation if it was the only knife I had with me.

Not to mention they are razor sharp and easy to maintain. The 2007 edition come with a squared off spine to strike a firesteel and a more contoured handle, but I love my original one just as much. Oh did I mention I love the TUSK. And I think it stands for Totally Useful Small Knife.

They look nice. I might give one a try. I'd be carrying it with my old CS Bushman.

ive read somewhere "totally usable small knife" and boy i believe it. i got one a few months ago and it kicked out all my folders for an edc. i havent used it "in the bush". although i have whittled some sticks when i was bored at work. i use mine primarly for warehouse work and prepping foodstuff. i love the knife. plus it completely non-threatening to most all people.

my only "problem" with the knife was the hook on the back. i actually just sent it back to brkt to get the hook ground off and a slight finger choil added if they can. the hook seemed to push my hand a little too close to the blade.

the tusk is extremely sturdy and very easy to sharpen. i luz it. -CB
