bark river vest pocket bowie vs sog super bowie....

This morning I tested my buddys Sog super bowie that was razor sharp with convexed edge along with my vest pocket bowie from BRKT.We chopped some 2x4 and cut smoked meat and bacon with it.BRKT knife though smaller outperforms SOG easily with its saber convex grind 1085 steel and excellent balance.Went through 3 2x4 easily while Sog was hardly goung through just one(got tired of chopping).In slicing again brkt knife cut like theres no tomorrow and was still shaving sharp after all that work done. Will buy more knives from BRKT even though sometimes grinds are uneven on their knives.......but theyre fully funcional and outperform so many so called tactical knives in every aspect from utility to combat too.My buddy wants to sell his Sog knife now and buy smtg from bark river.He was blown away by performance of my knife too.

I'm a huge fan of Barkies. Try a Mini Northstar when they release the 3v version later this year, it should be a slicing monster. I've got an older one in 12c27 and I love the design, just not the steel.
