bark river

Another positive vote for Bark River here.
I love my Mikro, it travels with me everywhere either in a jacket pocket, or in my camera bag.
As far as a small blade that is very sturdy you have many choices. I would suggest on top of what others have said to check out the Woodland Special if you want something sub 4".

Not to get off-topic, but I am also very concerned about that thumb ramp
on the Bravo-1 Barkie. It might get in the way while using the knife. I ordered one and it's supposed to arrive this Wednesday.
But, I looked at it this way....if Force Recon wanted the ramp put on,
I have to give it the benefit of the doubt... those guys don't mess around
with crappy equipment.
Worst case senario; the Dremmel tool comes out!

Or, send it back to Mike and let him take it off for you. Very good customer service was received by me and I assume that it extends to all of their customers.

I just received my Bravo-1 today. The thumb ramp does not get in the way at all, and it is alot "meatier" than the Gameskeeper, although allegedly built on the Gameskeeper "frame". It is sweet! I love it! :)

Hmm, you've got me thinking now. Do I need another Barkie?

What am I saying, I need all of them! This is bladeforums after all.

Rick.

Get one! You won't be sorry. They're going fast. I'm very seriously considering getting another one, before they're sold out.

What do you all think the Force Recon guys will be carrying to keep the edge? I guess a small leather strop would do it, or even just some compound to put on a piece of leather or cardboard.

I love my BRKT Highland, and this has me thinking hard about getting a Bravo-1 (or a Gameskeeper, actually).

Where are you guys ordering your Bravo's from? I'm looking bu not seeing them for sale at the dealers online.

 Yeah...definitely DLT Trading. I get all my Barkies there. Outstanding customer service...very pleasant on the phone, too.

Just ordered a natural Micarta scaled one from DLT. I LOVE A2 steel, and I really like the design on the Bravo so I had to do it :)

You mean, you don't know? Force Recon uses the skulls of their slain enemies to strop their blades.:D

Damn! That's hardcore. ;)

I just ordered a Bravo-1 from DLT this afternoon. I guess to get a skull-of-my-slain-enemy me and my dogs are gonna have to escalate things with those wise-ass squirrels. :D
