bark river?

I would give a yeah, I've got a pro caper, a bowie and a pack axe. Very pleased with all of them, a good value for the money.

I say yes. I've got a Mini Canadian, Imp, Smoke Jumper and a Journeyman. I think they are a great value for a "production" knife. And they are Made in the USA.

a Big YES

I use my fixed blades in the woods, baton with 4" easily, use and not abuse the knives though
Barkie are usabel knives, cut well and stay sharp long, they are with the factory edge meant to CUT and whittle a lot and they do it fine
If they are too thin then resharpen closing the edge, will be even sharper and much stronger

I like to say when I get asked, try them use them (great warranty) and get your own idea, if you like to CUT and not to use knives as screwdrivers or non cutting tools then they are awesome

they are quality knives

Bark River knives tend to be a little bit more expensive but from my expierence with the Bravo I, I can say you get what you pay for! Perfect quality and fit & finish. Thumbs up!

I like that they use a full convex grind with a thin edge, and that they've started using CPM 3V.
Those two attributes will get my to buy at least a few knives.

I've got 7 Barkies at the moment
Golok
Bravo 1
Mountain Man
PSK in CM154
2 Custom Highland Specials in CPMS35VN
Custom TUSK in SPMS35VN
IMP
I just traded my STS-3 for the IMP and another knife. I liked the STS-3, but I didn't like the sheath, the pommel should be a bit lower. The edge was a bit thin, never bent it, but it was great at cutting. The IMP is a better EDC for me, and my Bravo 1 or Highland is a better woods tool.

A big YES from me,

...Great user knives with a no questions asked warantee and free referb service,

...what's not to like?

All my hard use knives (and dare I say "beaters") are Barkies.

For me personally, it's a reluctant nah.

But for those interested in trying them out, I say ya.

...

I have the Full Tang Kephart and love the blade profile -- sharpest knife I've ever used. But I don't feel like I can get a secure hold on the handle.

And when I look at their entire portfolio of knives, I see many with blades I'd absolutely love, but few if any with handles that would suit me.

I'm really bummed about this, too, because I think the quality of the blades themselves -- their full convex profiles and steel -- is just awesome.

Yo Neo, Bark River makes so many different handle types that I'm sure some will work for you.

When it comes to "Bushcrafters" the Kephart handle is a broomstick compared to the fully contoured Aurora and Liten Bror handles.

Bark River makes something for everyone.

A big YES from me.

I have quite a few of their knives and really like them. I have used them in both hunting and camping situations. They are great cutters!!

I used two different models (drop point hunter & Manitou) to field dress and skin a 5-point bull elk last fall.

I'm still in the process of aquiring more!

Get One!!! Seriously. I recomend the Rampless Bravo 1. A little bit big for EDC but IMO the perfect Bushcraft Knife
