Some time ago I noticed Bark River was putting some custom handles on select Fallkniven knives. I had a Fallkniven A1 with a rubber handle that is one of my favorite knives. The only problem was that I have never liked rubber handles. They just don't do it for me. I contacted Mike at Bark River and found out he was working with KSF to develop user kits to rehandle Falknivens. He asked me to send in my knife and as it turned out my old style A1 was one he did not have. After cutting off the rubber handle he had it included in the computer program to produce grip panels for Falknivens.
Fast forward almost one year. I was beginning to forget what my A1 looked like. After a monthly communication with Mike he told me they just had not found the machinist time to cut the Fallkniven panels. I was lucky in that KSF had some Fallkniven blades in the shop for new handles and mine rode thru with them.
Mike is a SUPER guy and a real gentleman. He respectfully answered my messages concerning my knife like it was the only thing he had going on when we all know it was not by any means. The end result was that today I opened a box from Bark River and inside was my old A1, shaving sharp and sporting a new NCM handle!

Like all Bark Rivers, my new Barkniven A1 has a ergonomic and well fitting handle light years ahead of the old rubber gob that was on it before.
