Barner handmade fixed blade hunter that was made late 70's or early 80's. Forged high carbon steel blade, could be 01 or 1095, I think 1095 just for the way the edge feels when sharpened up.

Carried and used, but not abused. Razor sharp old school quality forged blade with thick elk stag handle and heavy brass guard and butt cap. Kern made sheath I believe as they were in cahoots with each other, one made the knives the other the sheaths. If I recall Barner was a Missouri maker from way back when. If you look at the choil on this knife it is reminiscent of Jack Crains early choils on his knives. Probably would make a good beer cap remover. 6" blade, and 5" total handle length. It appears the guard is a press fit on the knife, cause I don't see a solder line. Everything is nice and tight as it should be.

Sheath is very well made but the knife is loose in it but secure with the strap. Like I said been used and the blade shows very very light pitting, it is razor sharp and just a nice old school quality hunter/camp/fighter style all rolled into one. I carried it a lot on my bagger cause it looks good and works good. Old school classy ya know. Kind of heavy in the hand but in a good way, grip heavy. Elk handle that is gorgeous and feels good. Inspires confidence. thanks

Asking $115 which is less than I paid years ago. I'll ship this one on my dime. I take PP or M.O. and ship fast
