Here is a friction folder I finished a bit ago. This is my Barracuda style.

The circuit board is about 1/16" thick and has never had any components soldered to it, so it is smooth.

• my damascus [15n20 + 1084]
• circuit board handle
• 15n20 spacer
• stainless pins
• bronze washers
• leather pocket sheath

• 4 3/4" open
• 3" closed [including flipper]
• 3/32" thick at spine of blade
• approx. 2" blade

Thanks for looking. I hope you all like it.

Hey thanks everyone.

Shaw Blades - I use a chasing hammer I made to peen the pins.

But the secret to round pin heads is that after I've peened them I go back
and round them up more with bezel setting punches [a jeweler's tool].
I've also made some small rivet headers that do the same thing as the bezel setting punches.

Cool thanks

Awesome stuff here.

Who would have ever thought of something like this? I guess... its you! So cool.

My hunch is that you've found a niche that could be very successful for you, Shelby. I can see this knife on the front cover of Blade Magazine. And I'm not kidding!

That's very kind of you to say.
I've been taking things apart since I was a kid and circuitry has always fascinated me.
And while I've been making knives I've loved the aspects of ancient vs. modern technologies,
so that's what led to this knife.

So very cool!!! I too think this could easily go on the cover of Blade Magazine! You might want to give them a call to see if their interested (1-888-457-2873). Keep up the good work!

No liners under the PCB scales? I guess circuit boards are strong enough for a knife this size, but they flex a little bit as well.
