Barrel Knife help?

Guys, I have a guy who wants me to try a barrel knife. They are very cool, but very different. I'd love to find a WIP or someone who could help walk me through it. Any ideas?

Stacy those are really cool. I think he wants one that has the clip you depress in the back and the blade folds out of a folded brass liner. I'll have to ask him.

Chris, that is a great WIP, but it stops right in the middle of a critical step!

Isn't just the shape of the handle that gives the "barrel " ? After all many Scandinavian knives have that shape knives. A very comfortable shape . Cross section is oval for indexing. Yes I'm picky today !
