$1,100.00 Retail for 12" blade model, I'm looking only for $1,400 OBO, the one for sale is a special request with 16" blackened blade giving this sword incredible chopping/piercing capabilities while still being highly manueverable. This blade was a special custom order and never used etc. It is brand new but having to sell due to the Big D. My loss your gain. Contact me for more questions etc.

The Gladius is a brand new design from Barry based on the ancient Roman Gladiator's weapons. When you hold this gorgeous piece you feel the craftmanship that went into it, it's perfectly balanced and wields beautifully. Heavy duty with a broad blade, wide cross section and a ouch ouch razor sharp double edge! With this in your hand you can almost hear the colosseum crowds roar!
The Gladius boasts an impressive 12" (16" on mine)blade made from heavy duty full size 1/4" high carbon non stainless steel with Barry's beautiful black Midnight finish. There are also twin thumbrests behind each integral guard for handling and safety.
The handle is made from Barry's interlocking Japanese wrap, underlaid with ultra tough Black Canvas Micarta and offset with Barry's handmade Mosaic Pins in a sunburst pattern. Barry is one of only a handful of makers in the US who can produce this comfortable and durable wrap style, that he then resin treats to resist moisture and grime.
The Gladius comes complete with custom fitted stitched leather sheath with a holster stud. The leather as always is treated to resist moisture.
