Hello, I m in the need of some A2. I think perhaps 350X50X6 mm would fix me.
I have clean ostrich bones and some antler for trade.
Is anyone interested?
I m in europe, so shipping will be bit of pain in the ass, but such piece of metal and the bones both can be slapped into one of those big envelopes and sent for relative cheap.
My email hawkwind@seznam.cz

Actually have couple of more antler pieces and for 2 pieces of steel I throw in more ostrich. I can photograph the stuff for negotitations.. :D
I also have ash burl, bubinga, yew, laburnum and other wood for handles.

Jaro,

I'll check my A2 supply. You want 5x6x350mm, correct. If the piece is larger than that can you cut it up?

Oh sory Gene, that should read 50 mm wide - 2´´ wide. Its for knife, not for chisel.
I have both round ostrich bones and the other kind which has rib along.

So this is the offer for 2 pieces of steel. The big bone is oval its 40 mm at thicker and 35 mm at upper end. It can be dyed and it easy holds for 3 bowies.
Then 3 bones with rib - for smaller knives.
Some scrap antler for scagels. Dense and hard bubinga chunk for big knife. Good collor and structure.
I will add some large chunks of yew and laburnum wood to this. I have tophotograph those in the morning as its in my workshop. Laburnum is close kin to Desert Ironwood and its plenty hard and similar in colloring as the said. Of that I have both burl and plain.

Jaro,

I have a piece of A2 that is 3/16 (.187) x3" x 28". If you are interested send me a PM and we can talk about it.

Thanks,

Gene
