Baryonyx is not a large shop, but their focus is on good classic products and excellent service to the customer.

A family member wanted to get me a birthday present and I sent them to Baryonyx for a classic I'd been wanting for awhile. They told me they got excellent service, the bill was correct and they would use them again. So would I :)

Unlike other companies, they look at a knife before they ship it to you.
Our goal is to provide access to hand-selected quality knives and accessories that provide maximum value at affordable pricing backed by outstanding customer care. All items that arrive at our store are hand-inspected for quality assurance purposes...
Evidence of this care is on their Grade B items page where the "not-so-perfect" items are sold at a discount.

In addition, they offer a somewhat unique service "Special Grade" where they "will thin and refine the factory edge" for <$3 for the knife I wanted. I asked for this option and my knife came with an excellent edge, as good as any I would have done myself. I've gotten much worse edges on a knife sent back to its custom maker, a knife sharpened by a local shop and a gun show sharpener.

Baryonyx, a knife-knut owned store for other knife-knuts! and they can sharpen!

+1. I've purchased one knife, and probably too many sharpening stones :-), from Baryonyx. Not only were the products solid and good/prompt service, Ben is super responsive to chat about things related to his sharpening products.

yep one of the best. his special grade is well worth the few bucks. professional quality work that saves a whole lot of time.
