Bashpati

Yes mine is full tang. I don't know for a fact that they all are but I think so.

I like the handle. It's a bit on the smallish side but taking the size and weight of the blade it's proportional. I like it.

My friends daughter who is of course a friend too I reckon is a chef and expressed interest in my knives. I questioned here about handle size and her hand size and she said she never uses the handle. It would be fine with no handle. She grabs the back of the blade and chops or cuts away. She was quite enamored with my Pen Knife. I probably should have given it to her but I love that knife and can't get myself to do that just yet.

I'll get her one some day though.
I didn't have the Bashpati to show her, she might like it even more.

Bawanna... outstanding!

What's in the middle?

Trisuli Ghaule. Awesome knife, one of my favorites. Very light. Nice looking too. Haven't seen many of them, I feel fortunate I managed to grab it but that was long long ago. One of my first.

Some real beauties there my brother.

I dunno its a toss up between that cowgirl or the trisuli.

Although now i want a trisuli

I thought the "Trisul" was a sharp pointy stabber thing, like a crazy nepali long boot knife... there must be two models.
What cowgirl?

I like that Bashpati means "Bamboo Leaf".

I can't believe I forgot about my lust for a Sirupati. Haven't seen one of them in a hot minute. Please please please USPS Santa, tomorrow bring me a triangle box with a Thamar and a partridge in a pear tree.

Trisuli Ghaule is a khukuri model, a Trisul is another blade altogether.

Bawanna's Trisuli Ghaule is the only one I've ever seen.

I had an early Trisul, just as Cul so eloquently spoke. But it left me awhile back. I kind of miss it now.

Must be referring to Mrs. Bawanna in the framed picture. It's about a 40 year old photo but she's held up much better than I.

I have a Trisul and a Giant Trisul. The Trisul I have is down here in Florida with me, I'll try to get some pictures. It was done by Sher and supposedly the first antler handled one according to the original owner. No other proof except him being the original purchaser, an old school denizen of HI and provided the original purchase thread.

Must be the cowboy shooter in me or i still have not fully succumbed too Hikv, but i swear there is a cowgirl behind all those sexy blades.

Am I off for thinking that the Reti was the thinnest kukri style HI offered?

They are indeed thin but I'm not sure they are any thinner than the Bashpati or others.

They are definitely cool, light and fast. I've yet to get one myself but been on the prowl awaiting the right opportunity.

I think the file marks on the blade are the reason I thought they would be so light but in retrospect, there are some pretty big files out there!
